The SVRC Marketplace is located in an Urban setting, nestled in the historic Saginaw News building where parking is available but may require walking as it is located in the heart of the city. The location as well as many other unique qualities make this destination very special. Please be patient when looking for available parking and also exercise respect for the many guests frequenting the area. We are so very excited about the revitalization our project has provided to the city and the thousands of guests visiting our beautiful Riverfront Saginaw community.

The Marketplace is closed on Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday to allow for the successful development of locally owned, small business! We are not a big-box store and cannot operate as such. We are a wonderful assortment and representation of a diverse community culture, featuring assorted eateries and small retail shops. The Marketplace runs and operates the indoor European Style Market. We lease the SVRC Marketplace Pavilion seasonally, to the Downtown Saginaw Farmers Market. While the the outdoor seasonal farmers market does keep the same days of operation, it does not operate under the same hours of operation. There is public seating throughout the first floor atrium, 2nd floor atrium overlook, historic front lobby, outdoor historic plaza as well as the Marketplace Pavilion.

Or overflow parking is available & located 1.5 blocks south at 507 S. Washington Ave.
Entering the SVRC Marketplace
There are three primary locations to enter the Marketplace.
Directly off of S. Washington Ave. on the corner of S. Washington Ave & Federal St. (where U.S. Flag Flies proudly), ground level.
Direct from the outdoor Marketplace Pavilion (stairway)
Directly off of Water St., southwest corner of the Marketplace. Closest to the Marketplace, riverfront parking lot. Ground level with elevator assistance bringing guests of the market into the first floor atrium.
History of the Marketplace Project & Its Mission
SVRC Industries, is redeveloping the iconic former Saginaw News building into a 100,000 square foot mixed-use facility, to be named the SVRC Marketplace. The Marketplace will impact the community by bringing an estimated 10,000 people to the Downtown Saginaw riverfront weekly.
The SVRC Marketplace is a sustainable project that builds on SVRC’s core-mission of creating employment opportunities and community access by offering healthy food options, integrated jobs, supportive services, and vibrant gathering spaces in a single downtown development. The SVRC Marketplace will be a mixed-use facility supporting a year-round indoor farmers’ market, unique shopping experience offering a wide variety of delicious foods and quaint shops. This eclectic space will feature opportunities for local entrepreneurs to spread their wings by offering a licensed commercial kitchen, wash/pack food preparation stations, business-incubators, cooler rental spaces, and affordable locations within the Marketplace to grow their businesses. The Downtown Saginaw Farmer’s Market will reside under the SVRC Marketplace Pavilion. The SVRC Marketplace will cater to shoppers looking for fresh produce wonderful food and great local merchants.
